- Summertree Condos
- The Fields of Manassas
- Amberton Apartments
- Arcadia Run Apartments

Open Officer Position on the Council
Chris Yung Advisory Council (CYAC) is seeking a parent to fill an
officer position of Secretary. Following is description of the
- Records, prepares, distributes, and maintains all minutes of the CYAC.
- Additional duties may be deemed necessary by the Principal or Assistant Principal and approved by the CYAC committee.

Welcome to the
2016-2017 Chris Yung Advisory Council (CYAC)
The CYAC is a collaboration of parent representatives, teachers,
and school leadership working together to support Chris Yung Elementary School
(CYES) and the Prince William County educational system.
The charter of the Advisory council includes (but not limited to):
and supporting Principal and school leadership team in the following:
a long-term school plan.
the School Improvement Plan with the Division Strategic Plan and school budget.
input on the school budget.
the alignment of the Professional Development Plan with the School Improvement
and evaluating the plan implementation.
as an interface between the general community and CYES.
Some of our accomplishments in our first school year include:
local businesses to host a successful 1-Year Anniversary and Dedication
Ceremony for the CYES Story Room.
Department of Transportation installation of:
Limit sign posted on Fog Light Way.
warning sign on Devlin Road, alerting drivers that they are approaching an
William County Department of Transportation installation of:
flashing light on Fog Light Way
identification sign on Devlin Road, alerting traffic to the presence and
location of CYES
Brentsville District Supervisor’s Office arranged for increased Police
enforcement of posted speed limits along Devlin Road and Fog Light Way
The CYAC meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6pm. Our next CYAC meeting is 11/15/2016 at 6pm in the library.
have a dedicated Citizens’ time at each meeting. Parents and the
community members are asked to bring their concerns to the CYAC. Ms.
Notyce will respond to issues, questions, and/or concerns that are
raised during Citizens’ time. Members are encouraged to solicit these
questions from their respective communities.
