Chris Yung students have been busy in the Art Room.
Kindergarten artists are painting a Primary Color Grid to use in a 3-D sculpture.
First graders are learning about Henri Matisse. We created a still life and wrote stories about why the fish jumped out!!
Second grade artists read "They All Saw a Cat". We will use our painted papers to create a collage cat picture.
Third graders are learning about Andy Warhol, a Pop Artist. We watched a short movie and wondered, "is it Art?"
Fourth graders painted an abstract work showing their knowledge of hue, tint, and shade. We will use the papers in a 3-D piece.
Fifth grade artists reviewed their geometry terms to create works in the style of Wassily Kandinsky.
Second and third graders will be invited to participate in the Spring Art Club. Look for details to come.
