Below are the required instructional times per grade level:
Kindergarten - 120-140 minutes daily
1st & 2nd - 110-125 minutes daily
3rd - 95-110 minutes daily
4th, & 5th - 85-95 minutes daily
Math:
Kindergarten - 70-80 minutes daily
1st, 2nd & 3rd - 75-90 minutes daily
4th, & 5th - 70-80 minutes daily
Social Studies & Science:
Kindergarten - 30-40 minutes combined block/alternate units
1st & 2nd - 35-45 minutes combined block/alternate units
3rd - 50-60 minutes combined block/alternate units
4th - 30-40 minutes daily for Science and 40-50 minutes daily for VA Studies
5th - 45-55 minutes daily for Science and 30-35 minutes daily for Social Studies
Encore: All grades - 45 minutes daily
Physical Education: All grades - 45 minutes two times per week
Core Extension (remediation/enrichment): All grades - 35 minutes daily
Lunch: All grades - 30 minutes daily
Recess: All grades - 30 minutes daily
